Apex Dune Rally

Apex Dune Rally is pure arcade racing across deserts, forest trails, and the occasional snowy ridge. The handling is loose and fun rather than realistic, and the real joy is catching air off a dune and sticking the landing. Tilt or button controls are both offered, and both work fine.

The career mode gives you a long ladder of events to climb, with upgrade points earned per race. All of it is offline, including the ghost-run time trials, which surprised us in a good way. You can race the clock on a flight and never lose progress.

The track variety thins out a little past the midpoint, and some upgrades feel samey. Still, for quick adrenaline sessions it's a solid pick that loads fast and doesn't beg for a connection.
